CITs are the heart of camp. They are the kids who grew up under our trees, learned to shoot arrows with us, paddled across Lake Vera, sang Camp Fire songs loudly and proudly, played the dining hall games, and became Camp Fire in their hearts.
Now they are ready to share what it is to be Camp Fire with the next generation. CITs join our staff team before camp begins, enjoy leadership training that goes far beyond camp, mature with the responsibility they receive, and make camp thrive with their energy and joy.
CITs receive skills training and responsibility in camp management and youth development. Throughout the camp week they support camp operations and the camp experience by setting the Camp Fire standard of awesome.
