Counselors In Training (CIT)

2023 Counselors In Training (CIT) Program

Great campers make great camp leaders.

CITs are the heart of our camp.  They may be previous campers who have spent summers under our trees, swimming, boating and crafting and experiencing the magic of Camp Gold Hollow.  They also may be youth new to our program who want to experience our outdoor activities and improve their leadership skills.

This year, the CIT group will have their own unit activities during the day with a dedicated CIT director but still help out with an assigned camper group at specific times.  CITs can expect to help with song leading, games, camper chores (kapers), meal supervision, and general activities.  The CIT unit will plan and implement an All Camp Event on last day of camp – a camp favorite for our campers.

Resident campers leave on the morning of July 15, but CIT training will continue.  Sunday, July 16 will be family day for CITs – parents/guardians/siblings are invited to come spend the day with their CIT to experience the fun of Camp Gold Hollow.

Register now to be a CIT.

Download the CIT Application and return to Camp Director Patty “Penguin” McCulley at [email protected] We will email you a confirmation when application is received and schedule a phone/Zoom interview.
