Camp Director Carol Meyers, aka “haps”, shared her memories of 2022 at Gold Hollow:
“Although our week at camp was so suddenly and unfortunately cut short by Covid, the days beforehand were filled with wonderful memories and hopefully some lasting friendships.
I will hold close memories of:
We had a record number of 47 campers, CITs, and staff who woke up early for membership in the Lake Vera Polar Bear Swim Club!
The best memory is of the many campers saying, “I want to come back next year” –especially from campers who had never been away from home before and weren’t so sure how they were going to like camp when they first arrived.
This can be attributed to two things:
Spring Opening of Camp Gold Hollow Work Weekend – April 12-13
Camp Fire Family Camp (Memorial Day Weekend) – May 26-29 Register here!
WoHeLo Family Camp – June 9-11
Camp Fire Resident Camp Staff – July 5-8
Camp Fire Resident Camp – July 9-15 Registration opening soon!
Camp Fire Day Camp – July 17-21 Registration opening soon!
Fall Closing of Camp Gold Hollow Work Weekend – October
Young people want to shape the world.
Camp Fire provides the opportunity to find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are.
In Camp Fire, it begins now.
